Job summary

Performance Food Group seeks a Center of the Plate Buyer/Senior Buyer to procure beef and pork for our foodservice distribution network. You will coordinate suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure high-quality, in-stock perishable products.

Reporting to Purchasing, you will work with the sales team to deliver value to independent restaurants and other customers, requiring 2+ years of protein buying experience and daily management of perishable commodities.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years procurement, warehouse and/or administrative experience in related area.
• Experience with perishable foods and supplier coordination is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate suppliers, negotiate price and quantity terms, establish long-term contracts.
• Maintain in-stock service levels and monitor market conditions for perishable goods.
• Place POs according to vendor lead times and assist with training.
• Collaborate with the sales team to support customer needs.
