Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or Police Administration or related field is required.
• Master's degree and/or related certification preferred and may substitute for experience.
• Seven years of experience as a certified University Police Officer is required.
• Three years of police supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and administrative direction for the Protective Services Bureau.
• Direct activities of assigned components within the UMB Police Department and Public Safety.
• Oversee recruitment, performance, and training of staff.
• Ensure bureau operations comply with federal/state laws and university regulations.
• Serve as liaison to senior administrators when executives are unavailable.
