Job summary

NLR in Golden, Colorado seeks a seasoned security leader to oversee the 24/7 Emergency Response Team and the central monitoring station. You will recruit, develop, equip, and coordinate the protective force while delivering customer-focused service and aligning with federal directives.

This role requires seven years of physical security leadership, experience with DOE directives, incident response training, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 7 years experience managing/supervising physical security teams with at least 2 years in 24/7 emergency response or protective force.
• Familiarity with DOE Orders and Directives related to emergency management and security.
• Working knowledge of incident command structures (NIMS/IC).
• Excellent organization, budgeting, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for 24/7 Emergency Response Team operations.
• Recruit, develop, equip, and coordinate protective force and central monitoring staff.
• Collaborate with Facilities, Laboratory leadership, and emergency partners.
• Develop emergency response plans and supervise training/exercises.
• Ensure compliance with applicable security directives and regulations.
