State of California’s Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse seeks a Supervising Deputy Attorney General to lead a multidisciplinary team in prosecuting Medi-Cal fraud and elder abuse cases. You will oversee DAG litigation, supervise staff, and appear in state and federal courts.

This senior role requires strong trial skills, strategic leadership, and collaboration with investigators and public stakeholders. OHR approval pending.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills and knowledge of state and federal criminal law, criminal procedure, and rules of evidence.
• Exceptional judgment, discretion, integrity, and initiative.
• Ability to lead, motivate others, and interact across disciplines and agencies.

Responsabilités

• Overseeing the legal work of Deputy Attorneys General, including litigation strategy and case decisions.
• Supervising legal support staff and secretaries.
• Personally performing complex, sensitive legal work before courts.
• Facilitating interactions with investigators, supervisory staff, and management.
• Engaging with public stakeholders and agency partners on DMFEA matters.
• Assessing legislative measures and policy proposals relevant to the division.
• Handling general administrative tasks and staff selection processes.
• Providing training for legal and investigative staff; evaluating supervised staff.
