Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Briggs, TX, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead transition of propulsion products from development to production. You will own fabrication, assembly, and test procedures for propulsion subassemblies and full engines, while driving process improvements to increase production rate and reduce cost.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in manufacturing engineering within aerospace, excellent troubleshooting, and the ability to thrive under high-stakes deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience as Manufacturing Engineer.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Proven complex troubleshooting experience in aerospace/aviation/automotive.
• Strong written and verbal communication to convey assembly methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition of products from development to production.
• Own fabrication, assembly, and check-out procedures for propulsion subassemblies.
• Drive continuous process development to increase production rate and reduce cost.
• Investigate process failures and drive to root cause.
• Own development, test, and qualification of new production processes.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to design teams.
