Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Senior Propulsion Engineer to serve as a consultant to USAF customers in the United States.

The role focuses on propulsion system analysis, including liquid and solid rocket motors, along with guidance, navigation, and control aspects as needed. The engineer will address inquiries through technical reports based on professional experience, research, and trusted databases, working autonomously while contributing to collaborative customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in propulsion or fluid mechanics design, testing or evaluation.
• Thermodynamics, quasi 1D/2D compressible flow, nozzle design, and classical mechanics basics.
• Proficiency with scientific computing languages (C, C++, Fortran, Python, MATLAB).
• TS/SCI Eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Address propulsion inquiries with technical reporting stemming from experience, research and databases.
• Work autonomously and contribute to collaborative customer reporting.
• Support USAF customers as part of propulsion and systems analysis efforts.
• Collaborate with engineers to assess total vehicle performance w.r.t subsystems.
