Job summary

Relativity Space in Colorado is seeking a Responsible Engineer for the Propulsion Integrated Design team to own the overall engine layout, packaging, and critical components. You will design and analyze hardware, release CAD/eBOM, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Test and Vehicle Design to drive robust propulsion solutions.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on engineering, and advancing the Terran R program, with a focus on manufacturability and cost reduction through innovative processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of industry experience.
• Proven project/technical leadership.
• Strong fundamentals in structures, fluids, thermal, and mechanisms.
• Experience designing, analyzing, assembling, and testing hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own overall engine layout and packaging, including layout trade studies of different configurations.
• Control and release the CAD/eBOM for top-level engine assemblies.
• Design and analyze hardware such as engine gimbal, cryogenic and hot propellant ducting, fluid manifolds, tubing and secondary structures.
• Lead the development of new methods for manufacturing or testing critical flight hardware to improve performance, reliability, and/or cost.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Test and Vehicle Design teams.
