Job summary

Impulse Space, located in Redondo Beach, is seeking a Sr. Propulsion Design Engineer to lead the design of our Deneb propulsion system. You will collaborate with a fast-paced team, managing duties from concept through to production.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of flight propulsion experience and proficiency in 3D CAD modeling. The role offers a salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per year and includes benefits such as medical coverage and a 401(k) retirement plan.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with flight propulsion components including high-pressure applications.
• Hands-on experience with fluid, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in GD&T and creating engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of engine design from concept to product realization.
• Design propulsion engine components and layout.
• Generate detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Perform fluid, thermal, and structural analysis.
• Work with sources to procure materials and fabricate parts.
