Here's how a Senior Proposals Specialist in our Civil Infrastructure office contributes to our team:

  • Ensures proposals highlight differentiators and engage all levels of readership, utilizing graphics to enhance key messages.
  • Evaluates narratives for relevance, clarity, and applicability; collaborates to develop new proposal narratives as needed.
  • Proofreads, edits, and rewrites content to produce high-quality, compliant, error-free proposals within deadlines, maintaining a consistent voice and messaging.
  • Owns the proposal planning process, including reviewing client requirements, developing outlines, and creating timelines and assignments.
  • Conducts background research on clients to identify questions, concerns, and risks, advising on strategic proposal planning.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to develop and apply proposal strategies aligned with client needs and company objectives.
  • Leads proposal strategy and planning sessions, scheduling and chairing kickoff meetings at pursuit start.
  • Tracks communication and manages assignments for local and remote partners to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Prepares presentation materials and participates in interviews with prospective clients.
  • Engages with professional organizations relevant to proposal coordination.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred.
  • Certifications such as APMP or CPSM are preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in proposal coordination or related roles.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to produce grammatically sound and tailored content.
  • Deep understanding of proposal processes and methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and partners.
  • Business acumen and industry knowledge, particularly in construction practices and delivery models.
