Job summary

Wharton-Smith Construction Group seeks a Sr. Proposal Specialist in Sanford, FL, to lead all phases of proposal preparation for commercial and water treatment projects. You will manage a team, craft competitive materials, and ensure adherence to client requirements and branding standards.

Travel up to 25% may be required. You will report to the Proposal Production Manager and collaborate across marketing and sales to win complex bids.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in English, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
5+ years directly related experience in management and development of proposals; construction industry experience highly desired.
Experience leading large proposal/bid efforts ($40M+), and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience leading proposal efforts for cooperative agreements, JVs and contracts.

Responsibilities

Coordinate to compile and track materials for proposals per deadlines, ensuring client requests are met and project lifecycle followed.
Assemble proposal documents in various formats and collaborate with teams on proposal, presentation and marketing content.
Write, edit, and summarize project content and resumes of personnel; ensure consistency with bid requirements and corporate branding.
Proofread, edit, and standardize proposal text for grammar and clarity; maintain project library at proposal, build, and post-construction stages.
Attend project milestone events and client selection forums; manage award submission production and supervise Proposal Coordinators and Assistants.
