Job summary

SOCOTEC US seeks a Senior Proposal Writer for our New York, NY office to join the national proposals team. This full-time role requires four in-office days per week with one remote day, developing responses for public-sector clients and coordinating with service lines to shape scope and fees.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of proposal writing experience in architecture, engineering, or consulting with public-sector exposure.
• Strong knowledge of New York municipalities, state agencies, and procurement processes preferred.
• Excellent organizational and written communication skills with accuracy and compliance in mind.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate in-office with technical leaders across disciplines.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Deltek Vantagepoint desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop proposal responses for public-sector and municipal clients.
• Coordinate qualification and proposal input from service line leaders to define scope and fees.
• Create tailored technical proposals and qualification packages for procurement requirements.
• Research and gather information; attend meetings to ensure proposals reflect SOCOTEC’s capabilities.
• Maintain familiarity with regional procurement practices and ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Review proposals and estimates with technical leads; update content accordingly.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to produce complete packages; ensure timely delivery.
• Provide quality control of proposals prepared by teammates and manage client communications.
