Job summary

FlatironDragados seeks a Senior Proposal Manager to lead proposal efforts for multiple pursuits in the United States and Canada. You will oversee document collection, content development, and scheduling to ensure timely, compliant submissions.

You will collaborate with estimators, engineers, and managers to craft winning narratives, resumes, and supporting documentation. A strong background in proposal leadership and graphic/layout guidance is essential for delivering a marketing-quality product.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred.
• 6+ years’ project pursuit experience in construction/engineering; 3+ years as proposal coordinator
• Experience coaching and mentoring staff in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to develop proposal schedules and manage deliverables across multiple proposals.
• Travel for pursuit meetings and company proposal support.
• Proven ability to write and edit project summaries and resumes of personnel.
• Strong communication, detail orientation, organization and time management for timely bids.
• Knowledge of graphic design tools is a plus (Adobe suite) and Deltek Vision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee collection and creation of one or more project proposals, ensuring all items are included before bid deadline.
• Provide leadership for the assigned division, including content, resume building, and identifying key regional staff.
• Track data and forms required for each pursuit and manage the proposal schedule.
• Create the compliance matrix and Proposal Work Plan to meet RFP requirements.
• Assemble and review proposal documents for one-voice methodology and marketing quality.
• Coordinate with JV partners and subcontractors to obtain proposal information and documents.
• Draft technical writing and support docs from inputs from estimators and subject experts; proofread and standardize text.

What You Will Be Doing

• Reports to the assigned Division Proposal Lead and oversees the collection and creation of one or more project proposals, ensuring all required items of a pursuit request are included before the bid submittal deadline.
• Provides leadership and expertise for the assigned company division, including commonly used content, project and resume building, and identifying key staff in the region to support national pursuits. Acts as a resource for Division Proposal leadership to support qualifications and information needed by other divisions.
• Tracks the collection of forms, information, and data required for each pursuit per deadlines, ensuring completion of all Owner’s requests. Develops and manages the proposal schedule within pursuit and submittal deadlines.
• Creates the compliance matrix that assigns tasks to the supporting proposal team for technical proposal documentation and development. Develops and implements the Proposal Work Plan to meet the Owner’s Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements and evaluation criteria collected and created before the submission deadline.
• Assembles proposal documents in various software formats to ensure all proposal criteria are included before the submittal deadline. Reviews and edits proposal content to support one-voice methodology. Works closely with division and estimating teams to complete division forms and coordinate the Proposal Work Plan.
• Coordinates and tracks surety and bonding information and any required signature documents in coordination with the pursuit Lead Estimator. Coordinates with Joint Venture (JV) partners and subcontractors to obtain necessary proposal information, narrative, forms, and other documents requested by the Owner’s RFP.
• Compiles technical writing and support documentation based on interviews, summary points, and examples provided by estimators, engineers, subject matter experts, and direct manager. Proofreads, edits, and standardizes proposal text for proper grammar, spelling, comprehension, and style. Develops and manages layout, design, and document feel to ensure a marketing-quality product.
• Maintains the current version of RFP documents and ensures all supporting team members have access. Notifies the proposal team when important project information becomes available.
• Leads the final publishing of the proposal and delivery to the Owner, as required. Updates proposal templates and project sheets and ensures all relevant information is stored in the database and searchable for future project pursuits.
• Completes forms for Company and District award submittals, as needed.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Marketing, Communications or a related field, preferred.
• 6+ years’ project pursuit experience in construction or engineering industry required and a minimum 3+ years’ experience as proposal coordinator highly regarded.
• Coaches, guides and mentors staff and direct reports in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment .
• Develop proposal schedule and assign deliverables to proposal team and a proven ability to take on a larger bid proposal or multiple proposals at one time.
• Travel for pursuit meetings and Company proposal support.
• Proven ability to write and edit project summaries, resumes of project personnel, and other supporting information.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational, time management and task prioritization skills required to ensure timely submittal of project bids.
• Knowledge or skill in graphic design highly regarded. Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional, Photoshop and InDesign; Deltek Vision preferred.
• Maintains registration in relevant organizations / associations (for example, Road Builders Association ) .
