Job summary

Kokosing Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Senior Marketing/Proposal Coordinator to support growth in competitive markets from our Annapolis Junction, Maryland office.

You will develop statements of qualifications, proposals and marketing collateral, managing schedules and collaborating with teams across departments. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in proposal prep, a Marketing/Communications/English/Journalism background, and proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and Adobe

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in proposal preparation and a degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or another relevant field.
• Past experience and understanding of highway construction and engineering is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in developing compliant statements of qualifications, technical proposals, and presentations in response to RFQs and RFPs.
• Prepare proposal criteria outlines and templates; collaborate with proposal team members.
• Edit/format proposal documents under aggressive deadlines and ensure compliance and document control.
• Create proposal covers and tabs; produce proposals for submission.

We need a self-starter who can manage schedule and workload that produces quality work on time and can collaborate virtually or in person with team members, executive management, and other departments.

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment in our Annapolis Junction, Maryland office, and a high level of organization, detail, time management, coordination, and communication to execute multiple projects simultaneously with overlapping timetables. Essential Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in developing compliant statements of qualifications, technical proposals, and presentations in response to Request for Qualifications and Request for Proposals, including:
• Preparing proposal criteria outlines and templates
• Collaborating with proposal team members
• Preparing drafts and editing/formatting proposal documents under aggressive deadlines
• Reviewing proposals for compliance and document control
• Creating proposal covers and tabs
• Producing proposals for submission

Other Major Responsibilities

• A willingness to gain superior knowledge of Kokosing’s history, capabilities, and personnel that enhances our proposal and marketing efforts.
• Develop, organize and maintain marketing collateral, such as project and personnel resumes, project photographs, media coverage, and logistics, and company brochures and newsletters.
• Track proposal evaluations and benchmark competitors’ marketing efforts to improve proposal quality.
• Coordinate project submissions for regional/national awards and presentations, including gathering/ generating information and reviewing for compliance.
• Producing event materials/ads showcasing the company and/or our projects.
• Marketing material procurement and inventory for proposal printing, binding, and collateral.
• Other marketing tasks as needed, including internal/external events, holiday gifts/cards, company logo items, tradeshows/conferences, and photography/videography.

Qualifications

Salary/Compensation

Expected base pay range for this position is: $32.00/hr - $40.00/hr This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Kokosing at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
