Job Description

We are seeking a talented Marketing/Proposal Coordinator with creative vision and technical skills to facilitate our growth in exciting and competitive markets through the development of professional statements of qualifications, proposals and marketing collateral.

The position is located in our Annapolis Junction, Maryland office and requires a self‑starter who can manage schedule and workload to produce quality work on time and collaborate virtually or in person with team members, executive management, and other departments.

Summary

This position requires working in a fast‑paced environment and a high level of organization, detail, time management, coordination, and communication to execute multiple projects simultaneously with overlapping timetables. The role provides a career path that can lead into a management‑level role.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in developing compliant statements of qualifications, technical proposals, and presentations in response to Request for Qualifications and Request for Proposals.
• Prepare proposal criteria outlines and templates.
• Collaborate with proposal team members.
• Prepare drafts and edit/format proposal documents under aggressive deadlines.
• Review proposals for compliance and document control.
• Create proposal covers and tabs.
• Produce proposals for submission.

Other Major Responsibilities

• Gain superior knowledge of Kokosing’s history, capabilities, and personnel to enhance proposal and marketing efforts.
• Develop, organize, and maintain marketing collateral such as project and personnel resumes, photographs, media coverage, logistics, brochures, and newsletters.
• Track proposal evaluations and benchmark competitors’ marketing efforts to improve proposal quality.
• Coordinate project submissions for regional/national awards and presentations, including gathering and generating information and reviewing for compliance.
• Produce event materials and ads showcasing the company and/or our projects.
• Procure and inventory marketing materials for proposal printing, binding, and collateral.
• Perform other marketing tasks as needed, including internal and external events, holiday gifts/cards, company logo items, tradeshows and conferences, photography and videography.

Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in proposal preparation and/or a degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or another relevant field. Past experience and understanding of highway construction and engineering preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) required.

Compensation

Expected base pay range for this position is: $26.00/hr – $40.00/hr.
