Job summary

Southland Industries in Carrollton, TX seeks a Senior Proposal Specialist to manage RFQ processes and develop responses for timely submission. You will partner with Business Development andMarketing, coordinating documentation and milestones across teams to maximize proposal quality.

The role requires a four-year degree and at least five years of writing and proposal experience in the AEC industry, with strong project management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or applicable discipline preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in writing, editing and researching to prepare, print, and submit online technical documentation, including preparation of proposals.
• Must have experience in the AEC industry.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
• Strong ability to write, edit and proofread content.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strong competency in MS Office, MS Visio, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe InDesign, Asana, and Unanet.

Responsibilities

• Manages client-generated RFQ, company-developed responses and final submission documentation within filestructure.
• Manages all prequalification and proposal package preparation and submission with Business Teams, including gathering all documentation required for proposal.
• Partners with Business Teams and internal colleagues to ensure all milestones and timelines are met, including review and signoff of all final prequalification and proposal packages.
• Maintains database for all business development collateral documentation and monitors publications for opportunities.
