Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Senior Proposal Analyst in the Office of Sponsored Projects to guide faculty and staff on proposal preparation, submission, and negotiations for externally funded research.

You will coordinate reviews, ensure policy compliance, and assist with budget development and award processing; a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with eRA and sponsor guidelines are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, social sciences, or technical/scientific field.
• Experience with proposal preparation, processing, and/or negotiation of research grants and/or contract proposals.
• Experience with Electronic Research Administration (eRA).
• Familiarity with federal, state, local, and university sponsored project guidelines and regulations.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Review and submission of proposals prepared by faculty and research personnel.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and university fiscal and administrative policies.
• Coordinate review and final approval process for proposals prior to submission.
• Interpret and apply university administrative procedures for sponsored research and regulations.
• Advise faculty and staff on proposal submission processes for prospective sponsors.
