Job summary

DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. (DMA) seeks an experienced property tax consultant to lead reviews for clients across multiple industries such as manufacturing, energy, and oil & gas.

You will manage client relationships, conduct analyses, and implement tax-saving strategies while guiding a team of analysts and consultants. The role requires 7+ years in property tax consulting, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and travel 25-40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's or CPA preferred).
• 7+ years of property tax consulting or related experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook; valuation models preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the majority of client management during and after the review process.
• Develops and maintains long-term client relationships with focus on expanding services and cross-selling.
• Interacts with internal Business Development groups to identify property tax opportunities.
• Conducts physical inspections of facilities and meets with on-site management.
• Presents findings and makes recommendations to clients.
• Communicates with state and local taxing authorities to resolve issues via negotiations and appeals.
• Maintains knowledge of property tax laws, rules, and court decisions.
• Performs industry and economic research to identify potential tax savings for clients.
• Coordinates and reviews activities of Analysts, Consultants, and Tax Managers.
• Assists Director with National Accounts in scoping customized solutions.
