Job summary

5812 Investment Group is seeking a qualified Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance teams at properties in the Columbus area. You will oversee daily tasks, mentor staff, coordinate vendors, and ensure timely responses to service requests.

The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, and record-keeping, with on-site responsibilities and 24/7 on-call potential. A strong plumbing, electrical, carpentry, locksmith skill set and HVAC Type II certification are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance and supplies.
• Minimum of three (3) years prior experience.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and locksmith skills.
• Type II HVAC certification required. Universal certification preferred.
• Must possess own hand tools.
• Strong customer service; handle difficult situations.
• Good planning and organizing skills; prioritize and plan.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Organize and assign daily tasks for maintenance team and manage service requests.
• Train, motivate, and mentor maintenance staff.
• Schedule and manage outside vendors.
• Inspect and schedule routine maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
• Address resident service requests promptly per standards.
• Diagnose and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain property safety and fix hazards.
• Support grounds upkeep and snow removal when needed.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and expenditures.
• Maintain inventory and logs; order materials.
• Keep maintenance shop organized and safe.
• Ensure uniform, badge, and professional appearance.
• Maintain key control per policy.
