Qualifikationen

• 15+ years of property claims adjusting experience, including large or complex losses.
• Active Adjuster License(s) as required by state or ability to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of property construction, building codes, and repair methods.
• Proficient with claims software such as Xactimate.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willing to travel frequently, including CAT deployments.
• Experience with commercial property, industrial risks, or high-net-worth claims preferred.
• Preferred certifications: AIC, CPCU, PCLA, SCLA, or similar.
• Experience with independent adjusting firms, carriers, or TPAs preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead investigations of major property losses, including fire, water, wind, catastrophe damage.
• Conduct on-site inspections to determine scope, cause, and extent of damages.
• Analyze policy coverage, exclusions, and endorsements to establish validity and compensability.
• Coordinate and oversee experts such as engineers, appraisers, contractors, or consultants.
• Develop detailed estimates, scopes of repair, and settlement valuations using industry-standard tools.
• Manage large and complex claim files with thorough documentation throughout the life cycle.
• Communicate updates and set expectations with insureds, agents, legal counsel, and stakeholders.
• Negotiate fair settlements in accordance with policy terms and standards.
• Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate as needed.
• Serve as SME on high-severity property claims and mentor junior adjusters.
• Participate in large-loss reviews, audits, and QA programs.
• Prepare reports, coverage analyses, and settlement recommendations for management.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, procedures, and industry best practices.
• Maintain organized files and timelines for regulatory reporting.
• Field-based role with significant travel.
• Inspect damaged structures, including climbing and post-disaster work.
• Occasional extended hours during CAT events.
