Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Senior Property Compliance Analyst to oversee planning, operations, and guidance for its property compliance team. You will train, lead and prioritize work, striving for efficient, profitable client service with a focus on independent problem solving.

The role involves coordinating engagements, conducting thorough reviews, and strengthening client relations across multiple states, including remote/hybrid options where applicable.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree plus 5–7 years direct experience in administration and monitoring of IRC 42/142 and 24 CFR Part 92 HOME.
• Experience with income eligibility under 24 CFR Part 5 is a must.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local housing regulations.

Position Summar y

The Senior Property Compliance Analyst performs advanced work planning, developing, coordinating and administering the daily operations and activities; and providing direction and guidance in strategic operations, management and planning. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Ensures that the daily operations are effectively and efficiently completed. In this position, the Senior Property Compliance Analyst is expected to train, leads, assigns and/or prioritizes the work of others with an emphasis on independent problem solving, strengthening client relationships and increasing team profitability.

The firm has one available position in either Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Bellevue, WA; Cleveland, OH; Dover, OH; Long Beach, CA; or Portland, OR. Some positions at Novogradac may be open to remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on business needs. Please discuss available options with your recruiter.

Your Contributions and Responsibilities

• Complete tenant file compliance reviews and reports for designated clients with minimal oversight as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews.
• Accept increasing responsibility for engagement management.
• Recognize potential problem areas during engagements and propose effective solutions.
• Conduct business specific research - gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports and make recommendations.
• Develop, strengthen and maintain effective client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness and service-oriented approach.
• Increase the team's profitability by managing your time and the time of property compliance analyst efficiently, contributing ideas and adding value.
• Supervise and mentor property compliance analyst.
• Speak and lead trainings, workshops and webinars specific to tenant file compliance with Section 42, Section 8 or other Government Housing Programs.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Your Background and Skills

• Bachelor's degree plus at least 5 to 7 years with direct experience in the administration and monitoring of IRC Section 42, IRC Section 142, 24 CFR Part 92- HOME Investment Partnership Program with a specific focus on 24 CFR Part 5 related to income eligibility, experience and/or an appropriate balance of education and work experience.
• Extensive knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations including, but not limited to: IRC Section 42 (LIHTC) and IRC Section 142 (Tax-Exempt Bonds), including subsequent guidance (e.g. Treasury Regulations) the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Guide to Complete Form 8823 24 CFR Part 92- HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME Program) National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF)
• Extensive knowledge of Texas Local Government Code, Title 9, Subtitle C, Chapter 303 related to Public Facility Corporations as codified in Texas Administrative Code, Title 10, Part 1, Chapter 10, Subchapter I related to Public Facility Corporation Compliance Monitoring.
• Understanding of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act (HOTMA).
• Ability to direct and organize client needs; to establish goals and objectives that support a strategic plan; to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions; to develop and evaluate policies and procedures; and to prepare reports.
