Job summary

MAPFRE is seeking an experienced Property Claims Adjuster to independently manage moderate to highly complex homeowners' property claims across multiple states. This field-based role demands strong technical claims expertise, sound judgment, and exceptional customer service to investigate losses, assess damages, determine coverage, and bring claims to resolution.

Responsibilities include on-site inspections, damage estimates, and settlements with policyholders, contractors, and legal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of property claims adjusting experience handling residential property losses.
• Multi-state property claims experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of moderate to high-exposure and complex property claims from assignment through final resolution.
• Investigate losses, gather facts, evaluate damages, and determine coverage in accordance with policy provisions and regulations.
• Conduct on-site inspections and prepare accurate damage estimates and cost assessments.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Mentor less experienced claims professionals and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Maintain licenses and compliance and participate in CAT deployments as needed.
