Erie Insurance is seeking a Property Adjuster Trainee within the Property & Material Damage Division. The role supports claims handling from a home base in Virginia, with a 15-week Erie-based training program and field experiences to learn workflows and adjuster duties.

The position offers a company car/equipment, potential relocation/travel within the territory, and advancement to Property Adjuster I or II based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for certain roles.
• Two years of claims handling experience or ERIE education may be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, interviews, and inspect damages.
• Prepare estimates and handle coverage questions and negotiations.
• Document claim files and progress claims to closure.
• Support catastrophe team and training of new adjusters.
