Job summary

Colliers International in New York City seeks an experienced General Manager to oversee a commercial building portfolio, including operations, finances, and project management. You will lead capital projects, supervise staff, and ensure lease compliance while enhancing asset value.

This onsite role requires 10+ years in commercial property management, strong client relations, and deep knowledge of NYC regulations. A BA/BS is preferred, CPM or RPA is a plus, and MS Office proficiency is essential.

• Strong understanding of financial reports and variance analysis.

• Strong understanding of lease agreements and leasing terms.
• Experience with NYC local laws and commissions compliance.
• General understanding of building systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service at all levels and with external partners.
• Ensure compliance with leases, regulatory items, and management contracts.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, vendors, and contractors.
• Lead annual budget preparation and tenant reconciliations for senior management/ownership.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly ownership reports and monitor financial performance against goals.
• Review contracts, invoices, and rent-up schedules.
• Supervise and develop property management staff.
• Manage tenant improvements and capital projects."
• Collaborate with ownership, marketing and leasing teams to support leasing efforts.
• Oversee annual portfolio adjustments/reconciliations.
