Job summary

Florida Department of Revenue seeks a Senior Appraiser to join the Property Tax Oversight Program. You will appraise real property, conduct inspections, and prepare USPAP-compliant reports while verifying sales data and communicating findings.

The role requires at least four years of appraisal experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent written and verbal communication. Telework is possible with supervisor approval, and stipends apply for certified appraisers.

Qualifications

• Four years of single-property or mass appraisal experience, including inspections and valuing real properties.
• Experience collecting and analyzing large quantities of sale, income, and expense data.
• Experience with Word and Excel to compile, interpret, analyze, and display validation data.
• Experience applying multiple approaches to value and proper appraisal methodology.

Responsibilities

• Perform real property appraisals to determine market value for assessment.
• Conduct field inspections of properties (real, vacant, improved).
• Prepare USPAP-compliant appraisal reports and verify sales data.
• Communicate findings clearly and manage workload to meet deadlines.
