Job summary

Florida Department of Revenue seeks a Senior Appraiser to oversee property assessments for the Property Tax Oversight Program. The role conducts field inspections, writes USPAP-compliant appraisal reports, and verifies sales data across Florida's 67 elected property appraisers.

The ideal candidate has extensive appraisal experience, strong writing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Travel is required; telework is eligible with supervisor approval.

Qualifications

• Four years of single-property or mass appraisal experience, including inspecting and valuing real properties such as commercial or industrial properties.
• Experience collecting and analyzing large quantities of sale, income, and expense data.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel to compile, interpret, analyze, and display validation data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections of real property, vacant and improved, to determine market value.
• Write and submit USPAP compliant appraisal reports.
• Verify sales, collect data, and interview parties familiar with property types.
• Apply multiple approaches to value and appropriate appraisal methodologies.
