Senior Property Accountant – up to $100,000 per year – Hiring Immediately

We are hiring a Senior Property Accountant to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance for a portfolio of tax credit and HUD senior housing properties. In this role, you will ensure accurate financial statements, regulatory compliance, and support business decisions through data-driven analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare financial statements, ensure HUD/tax credit compliance, conduct variance analysis, and manage bank reconciliations
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop annual budgets, analyze costs (utilities, insurance, taxes), and assist with audits
  • Process Improvement & Collaboration: Streamline accounting processes, enhance reporting, and work with key teams on financial strategy

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of property accounting experience in real estate, affordable housing, or property management
  • Proficiency in NetSuite software (or similar property management accounting systems)
  • Experience with HUD, tax credit reporting, and compliance
