Job summary

Ares Management in Denver seeks a Senior Accountant, Property to join our Property Accounting Team and handle day-to-day accounting for a diverse property portfolio. The role requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years in a high-volume environment, and proficiency with Yardi and Avid, Excel and strong communication.

Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a high-volume environment.
• Proficiency with Yardi and Avid preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee the accounting books and records for a property portfolio.
• Manage tenant billing, collections, accounts payable and monthly closing.
• Review CAM reconciliations and prepare portfolio analytics.
• Analyze lease agreements for billing accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee and manage one or more Property Accountants. Mentor staff.
• Review monthly reports and analyze variances against budgets.
• Communicate monthly results to Asset Management and Finance.
• Assist with annual operating budgets and external reporting.
• Support loan compliance and construction draw processes.
