Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Our client is a well-established and reputable real estate investment firm located on Long Island. They have a friendly and supportive management team and can offer stability as well as potential for growth.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage the accounting function for a portfolio of commercial properties
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for upper management, lenders and investors
• Analyze the general ledger for each property, review journal entries, accruals and adjustments as well as detailed workpaper files on a monthly basis
• Prepare results of operations and provide detailed explanations of variances
• Prepare invoices to ensure correct account coding and expense allocations
• Prepare reconciliations of all cash accounts, reserves and escrows
• Monitor cash balances and request capital funding, as needed
• Prepare fixed asset and depreciation schedules
• Interact with asset managers, leasing agents, and property managers
• Oversee the resolution of tenant billing inquiries with accounts receivable and legal departments
• Respond to lender inquiries, as needed
• Compile financial information for analysts during debt refinances and/or sales of properties
• Prepare annual budget and reforecast
• Work closely with outside accounting firm

Requirements Include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
• Approximately 2-5+ years of experience in real estate audit and/or accounting
• Experience working in a deadline-oriented work environment
