Job summary

Healthpeak Properties, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage accounting for our portfolio of properties in Irvine, CA. You will prepare financial statements, oversee month-end close, and support property budgets and audits, ensuring accurate reporting for senior leadership and property managers.

The role requires GAAP proficiency, 3+ years in accounting, and experience with Yardi. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently within a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Solid GAAP knowledge.
• Yardi experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the financial statement package, journal entries, GL reviews, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet support.
• Deliver financial packages to Property Management leadership and managers in a timely, accurate manner.
• Coordinate month-end close and production of financial statements.
• Assist in annual property budgeting and variance analysis.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor requests (SOX/audits).
• Interpret complex lease language and prepare CAM reconciliations.
• Review inventory of accounts receivable, cash receipts, and vendor invoices; advise adjustments.
• Analyze variances and provide explanations to management.
• Support resolution plans for complex tenant issues and liaise with property teams.
• Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures.
