Job summary

Cogir Senior Living, based in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to manage financial reporting, forecasting, and cash flow for a portfolio of senior living communities. The role reports to the Property Controller and blends in-office collaboration with flexible work-from-home options.

Candidates should have a bachelor's in accounting and 2–4 years of senior accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Excel; Yardi experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 2–4 years of senior accounting experience required.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Experience with multi-site accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of communities.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant reporting and timely deadlines.
• Conduct variance analysis, budgets, and periodic reporting.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with community leaders (Regional VPO, ED, BOD) and maintain cash activity.
