Talently is seeking a diligent Accountant to manage the month-end close for a diverse real estate portfolio in the Dallas area. You will prepare property financial statements, perform GL activity, and ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities include lease accounting under ASC 842, depreciation of fixed assets, and collaboration with property management to resolve issues. Strong Excel and ERP experience are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to property accounting.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close procedures.
• Strong experience with general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet maintenance.
• Proficiency with Excel and experience using ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite and Yardi.
• Experience maintaining fixed asset records and recording monthly depreciation.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Aufgaben

• Manage the month-end close process for an assigned portfolio, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review property financial statements, general ledger activity, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash activity, and tenant receivables while ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Apply lease accounting under ASC 842 and revenue recognition guidance under ASC 606, as applicable.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including capitalizations, disposals, depreciation, and related general ledger reconciliations.
• Partner with property management and asset management teams to resolve accounting issues and support portfolio performance.
• Assist with annual audits, tax support, and other compliance requirements.
• Support process improvements, accounting system enhancements, and special projects as needed.
