Job summary

Granite Properties in Plano, TX is seeking a Sr. Property Accountant (Development Properties) to perform general accounting, rent calculations, and project-related financial reporting. You will work with JDE assets, depreciation, and assess project budgets and cash flow.

The role requires 3–5+ years in CRE accounting with strong analytical and communication skills; CPA preferred. Hybrid schedule, occasional travel, and collaboration with auditors are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, required; CPA, highly preferred.
• If MBA, only 15 hours of accounting coursework is required.
• 3-5+ years commercial real estate accounting experience, or public accounting audit or other commensurate experience.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills required.
• Proficiency in Excel – Intermediate Level
• JDE experience preferred.
• Prior GAAP experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• General Accounting: GL review, financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, quarterly re-forecasts.
• Maintain GAAP rent calculations and monthly analytic review.
• Manage fixed assets in JDE: depreciation and asset placement.
• Prepare monthly JV partner reporting packages.
• Prepare funding requests, track project costs, budgets and cash flow.
• Assist external auditors with PBCs and financial statements.
• Prepare annual tax package supporting documents.
