Job summary

Redwood Communities, Inc. is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to oversee financial reporting for a portfolio of affordable housing properties in Seattle. The role reports to the Accounting Supervisor and requires experience in multifamily property management and affordable housing.

The position is based in Seattle with four days onsite and one day work-from-home. A Bachelor's degree in accounting and 5+ years of related experience are required, along with proficiency in RealPage and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
5+ years of accounting experience.
3+ years in affordable housing or residential property accounting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; RealPage experience.
Must be onsite 5 days a week and eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations for a portfolio of properties.
Maintain tax and insurance schedules/payments for multiple properties.
Prepare monthly reporting packages and financial statements.
Month-end reconciliations and cash-flow monitoring.
Collaborate with property managers and regional teams to resolve accounting issues.
Assist with year-end audits and investor reporting.
Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, and other affordable housing regulations.
