Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Real Estate firm in Bergen County, NJ to hire a Senior Property Accountant. This role manages full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of residential properties and supports timely financial reporting.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, 3+ years in property accounting (residential/mixed-use), knowledge of Yardi, and advanced Excel. Compensation is $90,000-$110,000 plus bonus; benefits include medical, dental, 401k, PTO

• 3+ years of property accounting experience, residential or mixed-use.
• Working knowledge of Yardi and advanced Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of residential properties.
• Prepare property-level financial statements and reports.
• Review and approve tenant refunds in a timely manner.
• Update balance sheet, income statements and rent roll reports.
• Update AR/AP aging, unapplied cash, bad debt allowances, and fixed assets.

We are working with the CFO of a Real Estate organization based in Bergen County, NJ. They are looking to add a dynamic Senior Property Accountant to their organization. This company offers a competitive salary w/ benefits including growth potential!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of residential properties.
• Prepare property-level financial statements and reports.
• Review and approve tenant refunds timely
• Update balance sheet, income statements and rent roll reports
• Update AR and AP aging, unapplied cash, bad debt allowance, fixed assets register, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 3+ years of Property Accounting preferably residential or mixed-use
• Working knowledge of Yardi
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

COMPENSATION:

$90,000 - $110,000 + Bonus
