Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience including people, operations, and business performance.
• Extensive knowledge of nursery production, horticultural practices, and operational management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage personnel matters professionally and consistently.
• Proficiency with technology tools including ERP platforms and inventory software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability criteria.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily production operations to meet demand and objectives.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, service, and employee engagement.
• Drive improvements in production performance, yields, plant quality, and labor productivity.
• Maintain processes supporting consistency, efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee grounds and garden care to meet horticultural and company standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop Department Heads and key employees.
• Manage budgets for labor, materials, operating expenses, and capital needs.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Plan facilities, equipment, and capacity; support trials and new product opportunities.
