Corning is seeking a Senior Specialist, Projects & Function Operations to establish the operating rhythm for Corporate Communications in Corning, NY. The role emphasizes coordinating cross-team initiatives and aligning with business marketing communications to drive strategic outcomes.

The ideal candidate will lead complex projects, manage internal communications, and elevate employee engagement while working with leaders across functions to deliver timely, well-documented results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or any related field
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• A minimum of 1 year leading projects with increasing levels of complexity
• Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
• Extremely strong written and oral communications skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of the team to complete the projects
• Ability to work collaboratively across businesses, departments, and functions
• Familiarity with Microsoft products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and planning tools
• Digital fluency and comfort working within digital systems
• Experience working with agencies and vendors
• Experience in developing and successfully implementing complex communication strategies
• Experience successfully communicating change within a comparable organization

Responsabilités

• Lead people and culture initiatives across the Corporate Communications function, including team meetings, employee engagement activities, team-building events and other programs that support a strong and connected organization
• Facilitate meetings and cross-function discussions that help teams make decisions, resolve issues and move important work forward
• Develop and deliver internal communications that align employees around priorities, increase transparency and support the smooth operation of the department
• Lead projects from initiation through completion by defining goals and success measures, building project plans, managing stakeholders and maintaining clear documentation
• Improve project management practices across the function by building and maintaining tools, templates and resources that support consistency and efficiency
• Build strong working relationships across Corporate Communications and business marketing communications to strengthen alignment and support the timely delivery of projects and initiatives
• Manage shared inboxes, distribution lists and other department communication channels, ensuring inquiries are handled effectively and routed appropriately
