Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking a Senior Project Surveyor to lead survey project delivery, mentor staff, and ensure quality standards across projects. The role involves decision-making on technical elements, client coordination, and business development by promoting BKF’s services and identifying new opportunities.

Responsibilities include preparing staking calculations, creating boundary, ALTA and topographic surveys, and processing field data from various instruments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of office surveying experience.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or LSIT preferred.
• Strong CAD skills with Civil 3D.
• Experience in laser scanning data processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction staking calculations by reading plans and CAD files.
• Create mapping deliverables including boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, plats, and legal descriptions.
• Post-process field data collected via total station, GPS, levels, 3D laser scanners, and unmanned aerial systems.
• Build 3D models of sites and structures for owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Travel to various job sites and BKF offices as required.
