Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking a Senior Project Surveyor to lead survey project delivery, coordinate staff, and ensure high-quality technical results. This role makes key technical decisions, mentors junior team members, supports client coordination, and helps identify opportunities for additional services as projects progress.

Responsibilities include preparing staking calculations from plans, creating boundary and ALTA surveys, processing field data from total stations, GPS, and 3D laser scanners,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of office surveying experience with increasing responsibility.
• PLS or LSIT highly desired.
• Proficient in CAD software, especially Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Experience with construction staking and reading plans.

Responsibilities

• Prepare staking calculations by reading plans and interpreting CAD files.
• Create mapping deliverables including boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, plats, and legal descriptions.
• Post-process field data collected via total station, GPS, levels, 3D laser scanners, and UAVs.
• Build 3D models of sites and structures for owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Travel to various job sites and BKF offices as required.
