Job summary

Vig Construction is seeking a Project Superintendent / Senior Project Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects in Southeast Michigan. This role focuses on ownership of the jobsite, safety, scheduling, and coordinating subcontractors from start to finish.

You will review drawings, develop schedules with the Project Manager, conduct pre-install meetings, and communicate progress to clients and leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial construction supervision experience.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documentation.
• Procore or similar construction management software experience (e.g., PlanGrid, Autodesk Build).
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day field operations of commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite by enforcing safety standards and conducting weekly safety meetings.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors to maintain schedule, quality, and workflow.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Conduct pre-installation meetings with subcontractors prior to the start of work.
• Monitor quality control and ensure work complies with project plans, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Communicate project progress, schedule updates, and issues with Project Managers, clients, and internal leadership.
