Job summary

SLSCO LTD in El Paso, TX, seeks a Project Superintendent for large-scale CBP border infrastructure Design-Build projects in the Southwestern US. You will lead on-site execution, manage subcontractors, interface with government stakeholders, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance across multiple work fronts.

The role requires 10+ years as a superintendent on heavy civil projects, federal project experience, and coordination with design teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years as a Superintendent on civil infrastructure projects valued at $10M+.
• Experience delivering federally funded projects, preferably for CBP/USACE/NAVFAC or DOD/DHS.
• Experience on two heavy civil Design-Build projects with design-team coordination.
• Experience managing linear infrastructure projects such as barriers, roads, pipelines or utilities.
• Proficiency with federal construction documentation, reporting, and oversight.

Responsibilities

• On-site construction lead for CBP border barrier Design-Build work, reporting to PM/PE.
• Coordinate field activities across multiple non-contiguous segments in a linear project.
• Ensure work aligns with contract plans, specs, phasing, and government schedules.
• Oversee NTP-based activities, ensuring sequencing and progress.
• Coordinate with design team to support constructability and resolve field conflicts.
• Lead subcontractors and self-perform crews, allocating manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain liaison with CBP reps, inspectors, and government personnel.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety plans, and quality control requirements.
• Oversee site logistics, access controls, staging areas, and restricted areas.
• Support SWPPP, BMPs, and environmental protection requirements.
• Provide daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and coordinate meetings with stakeholders.
