Senior Project Superintendent – Campus Construction Lead

Job summary

The Walsh Group seeks an experienced Project Superintendent for a multi‑billion dollar campus project in downtown Nashville, TN. You will own field operations, drive schedule, safety and quality, and mentor future construction leaders.

Responsibilities include creating the master schedule in Primavera P6, monitoring progress, coordinating BIM, managing subcontracts, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of construction experience with field management.
• Experience with excavation, grading and soils management.
• Dewatering systems planning and management.
• Foundations and concrete structures experience.
• Background in field engineering, surveying and layout.
• Experience delivering Class A+ office spaces.
• Recent Nashville building experience with Metro/State inspectors preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, P6, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Relocation of superior candidates to Nashville will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of field operations
• Create and manage the master project schedule using Primavera P6
• Monitor, report and forecast trade production for schedule adherence
• Participate in BIM coordination and clash resolution as needed to support VDC staff
• Coordination of and adherence to subcontracts, drawings, and specifications
• Control cost within established budgets and mitigate negative impacts
• Lead the project quality management program with staff and subcontractors
• Oversight of quality mock-up installations and quality inspections
• Lead implementation of the company safety program and OSHA standards
• Enforce jobsite cleanliness and logistics plans
• Manage and supervise in-house trade personnel as required
• Prepare daily logs and maintain project records
