Job summary

Charles Hall Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Superintendent to lead daily field operations on projects throughout the Chicagoland area. This full-time, on-site role delivers projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining high quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong collaboration skills, capable of coordinating with project managers, design teams, ownership, subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff.

Qualifications

• Progressive field leadership experience as a superintendent or in a comparable role.
• Experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Ground-up multifamily residential or senior living construction experience is highly preferred.
• Proficient in construction documents, plans, specifications, building codes, and field coordination.
• Experience using Procore for project documentation and reporting.
• OSHA or other relevant construction safety certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all daily jobsite operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, inspections, and field personnel.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules and short-term look-ahead plans.
• Monitor construction progress and proactively address schedule or coordination challenges.
• Ensure work complies with plans, specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, organized jobsite and enforce safety requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and identify quality concerns before they affect project progress.
• Use Procore to manage project documentation, daily reporting, photos, schedules, RFIs, and field communication.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, ownership, and trade partners to resolve field issues.
• Assist with cost awareness, change management, and budget-related field decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and support field staff while promoting a positive, accountable, and solutions-oriented jobsite culture.
• Provide clear and consistent updates to project stakeholders.

• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, schedules, quality control, and jobsite safety.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, plans, specifications, building codes, and field coordination.
• Experience using Procore for construction management, project documentation, and reporting.
• Ability to identify problems, make informed field decisions, and keep projects moving forward.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in an entrepreneurial environment.
• OSHA or other relevant construction safety certifications are preferred.
