Job summary

University of California, Berkeley seeks two Project Scientists at Assistant/Associate/Full rank to advance machine learning and data analytics for terabyte- to petabyte-scale imaging projects. You will join a collaborative team reporting to PIs, contributing software tools and ML methods across biology and AI.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent international degree required.
• Minimum of four years of postdoctoral research experience.
• For Associate rank: minimum of 8 years of post-PhD research experience.
• For full rank: minimum of 14 years of post-PhD research experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop data analytics software for terabyte- to petabyte-scale imaging projects.
• Develop machine learning applications and manage projects with regular progress reports to PIs.
• Contribute to dissemination via open source code repositories, demonstrations, publications, and presentations.
