Bio-Rad Laboratories seeks a Staff Machine Learning Software Engineer to drive AI/ML direction for a domain, applying agentic tools to real-time signal and image processing systems. You will be a technical resource for algorithms and modeling, and mentor engineers in ML and signal processing.

You will champion agentic ML engineering practices, collaborate with product and engineering leadership, and help align research with business needs across projects within Irvine, CA.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in CS, Math or related field.
• 7–10 years of ML, signal processing or related quantitative field.
• Hands-on execution within a domain or product area.
• Early adoption of AI-assisted development tools.
• Deep expertise in statistical modeling and real-time image analysis.

Responsibilities

• Execute against a defined AI/ML engineering direction for a domain or product area.
• Serve as a technical resource for algorithm, modeling, and implementation questions.
• Drive adoption of agentic ML engineering practices within their area of ownership.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in signal processing and ML.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align research with product needs.
