M. J. Electric, a Quanta Services company, seeks a Senior Project Scheduler to lead CPM Primavera P6 schedules for large data center, power generation, and industrial electrical projects. You will collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to drive execution and control costs.

The role emphasizes critical path analysis, what-if scenarios, and productivity tracking, with a focus on compliant documentation and timely look-ahead planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of scheduling experience on large-scale electrical construction projects (data center, power generation, industrial).
• Advanced Primavera P6 expertise including cost- and resource-loaded schedules.
• Experience with subcontracts and submittal requirements (baseline, monthly updates, recovery schedules).
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.

About this Role – Senior Project Scheduler

We are looking for a talented Senior Project Scheduler that has a passion for quality construction. This position builds and manages resource- and cost-loaded P6 schedules, performs critical path analysis, and partners with project teams to drive execution across large-scale data center, power generation, and industrial manufacturing electrical construction projects.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and manage CPM Primavera P6 schedules for large-scale data center, power generation, and industrial manufacturing electrical projects
• Build and maintain resource- and cost-loaded schedules aligned with baselines and execution strategies
• Integrate inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams
• Perform critical path analysis, what‑if scenarios, and productivity tracking
• Identify schedule risks, evaluate sequencing (including below-grade/underground electrical infrastructure), and recommend mitigation strategies
• Produce earned value metrics, KPIs, and cash flow reports for project controls and executives
• Support look‑ahead planning, short‑interval schedules, and continuous improvement
• Maintain compliant schedule documentation and submittals (baseline, monthly narrative updates, recovery schedules) per contract, general contractor, and company standards

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of scheduling experience supporting large-scale data center, power generation, and industrial manufacturing electrical construction projects – required
• Advanced Primavera P6 expertise, including cost- and resource-loaded schedule development; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu a plus
• Experience managing schedules under general contractor subcontracts, including contract-driven submittal requirements (baseline schedules, monthly narrative updates, recovery schedules) – preferred
• Proven ability to collaborate with engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams
• Strong communication and influencing skills, coordinating across multiple departments
• Highly organized and self‑motivated, able to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments
• Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred
