Job Description Summary
This position will lead quality assurance activities for executing project quality activities for GEH Advanced Nuclear projects. This includes interacting with customers, regulatory agencies, partners, and GEH Advanced Nuclear organizations to ensure project activities meet quality requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform quality activities for Advanced Nuclear project compliance with regulatory, customer, and GEH internal requirements.
- Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams to define quality requirements and processes, ensuring products and services meet standards.
- Resolve quality concerns using the corrective action program, including causal analyses.
- Conduct project surveillances and internal/external audits for quality oversight.
- Apply technical knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and experience to analyze and solve complex problems.
- Develop and implement project quality control plans, procedures, and infrastructure.
- Represent GEH as the main contact for quality organizations, interface with customers and internal teams, lead quality meetings, and provide site representation.
- Provide training on quality-related activities.
- Lead project oversight programs, including surveillances, audits, root cause analyses, and non-conformance assessments.
- Review condition reports and KPIs to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Mentor team members in quality activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering with at least 7 years of nuclear quality assurance experience, or
- High school diploma with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Preferred location: GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC, or highly qualified remote candidates based in the U.S.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in complex projects and guiding quality functions.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Knowledge of problem-solving, Lean, and quality methodologies.
- Familiarity with standards like 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001, CSA N286-12, CSA N299.
- Knowledge of nuclear industry technologies.
- Ability to maintain a customer-focused team environment.
- Experience with root cause analysis tools and techniques.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Self-starter with teamwork skills and adaptability.
- Excellent communication skills, decision-making ability, and focus on priorities.
- Experience engaging with senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
The base pay range is $107,600-$155,000, with potential bonuses and geographic differentials. Employment is contingent on eligibility and successful background checks.
