Job summary

Toole Design in Fresno, CA is seeking a Project Planner to join our California team and help create safer, more connected communities through multimodal transportation design.

You’ll lead analyses, manage projects and engage with clients and communities, with fieldwork and occasional travel in the region; salary range $92,000–$105,000 and a fully remote role with monthly visits to Oakland or Los Angeles offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in planning, engineering, design, public health, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field; additional years may substitute for degree.
• Fluent in Spanish for community engagement.
• Experience with multimodal transportation planning and public engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead analyses on projects to improve safety, accessibility, and equity.
• Manage projects and tasks and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Engage directly with clients and communities, including fieldwork and public meetings.
• Travel occasionally around the region to support project work.
