We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our onshore/offshore wind advisory team, overseeing Technical Due Diligence activities related to project financing and M&A processes.
This role can be hybrid from Albany, NY, Houston, TX, or San Diego, CA, or remote anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers as the main client interface for UL. Attend client meetings with lenders and developers as needed.
- Prepare proposals detailing a scope of work, team, budget, and schedule for completion to satisfy client expectations.
- Manage and schedule internal resources as well as internal and external individuals to ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget.
- Manage and execute independent engineering (IE) and technical advisory (TA) services to support the financing, sale, or acquisition of wind and solar plants and portfolios.
- Manage high-profile IE and M&A projects for project financing, sales, and acquisitions of wind and solar projects and portfolios, including overseeing turbine technology review, civil and electrical design review, review of commercial and technical contracts, project schedule, project financial model, CAPEX and OPEX costs, environmental and permitting review, site visits, and construction monitoring.
- Compile and complete IE and M&A reports, ensuring quality that meets and exceeds client expectations. Integrate all review sections from UL and sub-consultants’ multidisciplinary team and the results of UL energy analysis, ensuring consistency throughout. Summarize key results and conclusions.
- Attend conferences within the region.
- Prepare communication plans and related project status reports. Facilitate and lead regular status meetings with internal project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to identify project risks, barriers, and issues, and propose solutions and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects.
- Perform site visits during construction and operation, including monthly construction monitoring visits to review progress against technical specifications, budget, and milestones. Compile monthly reports.

Experience
- 5+ years of experience in onshore/offshore wind advisory services, preferably in Technical Due Diligence activities related to project financing and M&A processes. Project management experience as an owner/operator/asset manager is also acceptable.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering with hands-on delivery experience. PMP, Prince 2, and/or Agile certification is a plus.
Total Rewards: The estimated salary range is $90,000 - $115,000, based on knowledge, experience, location, and other factors. The position is eligible for an annual bonus of 10% of the base salary. Benefits include health coverage, wellness programs, retirement plans, paid time off, and more.
