• Procure design consultants and contractors to deliver capital improvement projects.
• Manage and negotiate project scope, fee, and schedule for assigned projects.
• Communicate project status updates to stakeholders including budget and schedule impacts.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and engineering reports in conformance with City standards and City codes.
• Apply expert engineering knowledge and understanding to deliver assigned projects.
• Apply expert project management principles to deliver assigned projects.
• Review and make recommendations for the project delivery process.
• Coach and mentor project management team members.
• Independently represent the department in multiple internal and external settings.
