Job summary

Kinkaid Civil Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Underground Wet Utilities to lead complex heavy civil infrastructure projects in Mesa, AZ. You will oversee project performance, budgets, schedules, risk management, and client relationships from preconstruction through closeout.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in heavy civil construction, extensive underground utility experience, and a proven track record managing municipal and private projects while mentoring project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of Project Management experience in heavy civil construction.
• Extensive underground wet utility project experience (water, sewer, storm drain).
• Experience managing large municipal or private heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple underground wet utility projects from award to closeout.
• Provide leadership for Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and staff.
• Oversee scope, budgets, schedules, forecasting, cash flow, and overall performance.
• Coordinate project startup activities and establish execution plans.
• Review subcontract agreements, purchase orders, invoices, change orders, and project docs.
• Identify project risks early and implement proactive solutions to maintain schedule and budget.
• Lead value engineering efforts and participate in strategic planning.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, municipalities, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors.
• Support estimating and preconstruction teams during project transitions.
• Conduct project reviews, lessons learned, and customer satisfaction evaluations.
